Galileo Galilie Born in 1564, Galileo became one of the most important scientists in the history of science who located the foundations for the modern science. During his early life, he seriously considered to b ecome a priest that, due to his fathers insistence he went on to study in the University of Pisa for a medical degree. However, he was not able to complete his degree and went on to study maths instead of medical sciences. It was during that era that his overall interests for the mathematics and other physical sciences started to develop. He was later appointed on different teaching assignments and his real contribution towards science started to emerge during the early part of the seventeenth century. At University of Padua he was able to develop different scientific theories and contributed not only towards the pure fundamental science but towards the applied science also. Galileo therefore is also famous for his contributions for inventing new technology and setting the foundations for technological innovations.
